1984, se publica Aerial Boundaries, de Michael Hedges. La guitarra acústica toma un nuevo rumbo, con técnicas y composiciones totalmente nuevas hasta la fecha. Previamente otros guitarristas como Leo Kottke, John Fahey, Bert Jansch o John Renbourn habían abierto camino.

Después hay otros guitarristas que me han fascinado, como Pierre Bensusan, Alex de Grassi, Tony McManus, Al Petteway, Will Ackerman, Laurence Juber o Preston Reed.

En el ámbito del jazz, sin lugar a dudas, Pat Metheny, Ralph Towner, John Abercrombie, John Scofield, Terje Rypdal o Bill Frisell me han influido.

Por último, Stevie Ray Vaughan, como guitarrista de blues.
