For students with an intermediate level at least and focused on the development of the fingerpicking technique, specialized in a certain style.

 

 

-CONTEMPORARY FINGERSTYLE GUITAR

If you are interested in modern acoustic guitar. Advanced fingerstyle techniques (slap harmonics, two-handed tapping, hammer on and pull off, etc.), study of alternate tunings, development of techniques for both hands.

Repertoire analysis of guitarists such as Michael Hedges, Laurence Juber, Alex de Grassi, Pierre Bensusan, John Renbourn, etc.

 

 

 

 

-CELTIC GUITAR

Focused on the study and knowledge of the various forms and rhythms of Celtic music (jigs, reels, slip jigs, airs, Breton dances, strathspey, etc.).

Study of the most significant repertoire of Celtic music on fingerstyle guitar, as well as Celtic guitar accompaniment.

Study of the most common tunings (standard, Drop D, DADGAD, CGCGCD, CGDGCD, etc.)

Analysis of some significant Celtic guitarists, such as Tony McManus, Al Petteway, John Renbourn, Pierre Bensusan, Pat Kirtley, etc.

 

 

 

-BLUES, RAGTIME, JAZZ FINGERSTYLE

Advanced course in blues, ragtime and arrangements of jazz tunes for fingerstyle guitar, in standard tuning and DADGAD.

Analysis of the repertoire and arrangements by guitarists such as Al Petteway, Kenny Sultan, Mike Dowling, Laurence Juber, Stefan Grossman, Ralph Towner, Pat Metheny, David Cullen, etc.
